2.4 General Restrictions. Except for copies authorized solely for backup or disaster recovery purposes or under applicable law, you may not copy the Product, in whole or in part. You must reproduce and insert the copyright notice and any other notice that appears on the original product on each backup copy. You agree not to allow others to use the Product and you will not use the Product for the benefit of any third party. You acknowledge that the source code of the Product and the underlying ideas or concepts constitute valuable intellectual property of Check Point, and you agree not to attempt to reconstruct or discover any underlying source code or ideas or algorithms or file formats or programming, allow others to decipher, transform, decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer or attempt to reconstruct or discover the source code or ideas or algorithms. underlying or file formats or programming. or product interoperability interfaces by any means. You will not develop methods that allow unauthorized persons to use the Product or develop any other product containing any of the concepts and ideas contained in the Product that have not been independently developed by you. Your use of the Product may require the purchase of separate licenses to take advantage of certain features, functionality, operations or capabilities. 10.3 Rights Restricted by government.
This provision applies to products purchased directly or indirectly by or on behalf of a government. The product is a commercial product licensed on the open market at market prices. Any modification, reproduction, release, performance, display or disclosure of the Product by any government is subject only to the terms of this Agreement and is prohibited except to the extent expressly permitted by the terms of this Agreement and no government is granted a license to the Product that requires other terms. 2.6 Evaluation License. This section applies only if you license the product for an initial evaluation period. The license is only valid for the specified evaluation period and is intended to allow you to evaluate the product during that period. In the event that you wish to enter into a longer-term license agreement with Check Point, you may request a license key from Check Point which, if provided to you, will allow you to use the Product after that evaluation period, but only subject to all the terms of this Agreement. In the event that you choose not to enter into a license transaction with Check Point at the end of this evaluation period, or in the event that Check Point notifies you that discussions relating to a license transaction have ended, your rights under this Agreement will terminate and you must immediately return to Check Point or destroy all copies of the Product.
10.2 Third Party Software. Certain third-party software may be provided with the Product for use in connection with the Product, subject to the licenses of their respective owners. The terms of this Agreement apply to all third-party software providers and third-party software as if they were Check Point or the Product, unless they are expressly listed and addressed on www.checkpoint.com/about-us/third-party-trademarks-and-copyrights/, in which case the license terms of that third-party software provider apply with respect to such specific third-party software products. With respect to a pre-release version of a Check Point Product, including a Beta or Early Availability Product (all collectively referred to herein as the “Beta Product”), which may be made available to you by Check Point from time to time, Check Point grants you, in its sole discretion, a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Beta Product for evaluation purposes only. The license is designed to provide you with early operational experience with the beta product and to provide Check Point with certain information about your experience installing and operating the beta product. The license is for a limited time as determined by Check Point, and certain other restrictions may apply. If you are a standard user, the products are licensed for use by you solely to provide policy management for your own operation.
